Neo-Classical English Silver Plated Coffee Pot |Elkington & Company

The antique English neo-classical coffee pot was made by George Richards Elkington and Company in 1880 (not a circa date, the actual date). The oval lighthouse shaped pot has corinthian columns on the 4 quadrants with lion masks at the top. There are festoons (swags) dropping from the lion masks. The bottom has large vertical acanthus leaves. The hinged domed acanthus decorated lid has an cast acorn finial. The pot has a walnut handle and a straight angled spout with stylized acanthus decoration at the bottom.
