Antique English Silverplate Crystal Biscuit Box on Stand - circa 1845

The early Victorian English crystal and silver plated biscuit box on stand is plated on German silver.  German silver is an early, very hard base metal used primarily between 1840 and 1850.  The hinged crystal box is removeable from the stand.  The crystal is hand cut and the frame and lid are hard engraved.  There is no signs of wear.  The box can be used for anything from ice on the bar, to cotton balls in the boudoir, to candy etc.  There is no makers mark.
