Early English silver plated Louis XVI style 3 piece teaset by the Mappin Brothers. The set is epgs (electroplated German silver - an early base metal in the history of silver plating). The round bodies are typical Louis XVI style design with hand chased floral, leaf and scroll design with a a domed, hinged lid (teapot only). The teapot has a cast eagle finial, an acanthus scroll handle with insulators, and has a mask swan neck spout with a eagle head end to the spout. All pieces have a scroll feet on a cast rim base an acanthus scroll handles. This set is in excellent condition.
